How Small Businesses Can Hire Interns for the Summer

We were thrilled to welcome Cindy Lewis from California Lutheran University to our podcast for an episode where we explored ways that business owners could approach hiring interns for the summer.

There’s tons of great information in the podcast, but here are three key things you can do today to help you determine whether or not your business is ready for interns:

  • Decide if you have enough valuable tasks for an intern. You’ll want to start small, but eventually your intern will want to work on larger projects.
  • See what kind of incentives you could reasonably offer, monetary or otherwise.
  • Write a job description and research job boards. You can send your postings to California Lutheran University or try posting on sites like Indeed or Glassdoor.
