Veterans Day is Nov. 11 and will be here before we know it. As a pre-cursor to the holiday, National Veterans Small Business Week brings attention to veteran business owners and garners support for them. This year, the SBA is encouraging veteran business owners to share their stories and is inviting community members to highlight their local veteran-owned business as a way of showing their gratitude and support. Everyone can participate by using the hashtag #MyVetBiz whenever they post about veteran-owned businesses.

Veteran business owners are responsible for nearly one out of every ten small businesses in America. They employ nearly six million workers and are 45 percent more likely to be self-employed than non-veterans. Even after their service has ended, veterans are still doing so much for our country. Let’s support our veterans and veteran business owners!
