Celebrating Small Businesses NationwideOur team is thrilled to be taking part in the many of the National Small Business Week 2014 (#SBW2014) festivities taking part around the country this week! We’ll be in Kansas City, Boston, and Washington D.C., so look out for the Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. booth at each of these events and say hello!

This weeklong event celebrating the contributions small business owners make to our country is taking place nationwide starting in San Francisco  making stops in Kansas City and Boston, and ending in Washington D.C. If you can’t make the trip, all sessions will be recorded and featured online through the official NSBW website. Additionally, there will be plenty of webinars for small business owners to join in on the celebration.

Whether you’re attending these events in person or setting up camp in front of your computer, here is a preview of some of the things what we’re excited for during National Small Business Week 2014!

The Speakers

The speaker lists across all four National Small Business Week events are loaded with great business minds to learn from. This list includes U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet (San Francisco), Henry Bloch of H&R Block (Kansas City), Samuel Adams Founder and Brewer Jim Koch (DC), Papa John’s Founder, Chairman and CEO John Schnatter (DC)CEO of Constant Contact Gail Goodman (Boston), and many others.

One of the featured speakers we’re especially excited for is 10-year-old social-justice entrepreneur Vivienne Harr. She’ll be speaking at the kickoff event in San Francisco on May 12. Harr is a Bay Area girl who started the B Corp rated company ‘Make A Stand‘ Lemonade that works to help end child slavery. According to her website, Harr has raised over $100,000 to support her cause and continues to be a major promoter of social justice. This young entrepreneur has already made an impact on the world and we’re looking forward to seeing her share the stage with speakers like House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Adam Bain, President of Global Revenue and Twitter.  If you can’t make it to San Francisco, register here to watch the kickoff of #SBW2014.

If you can’t make the trip, check online to see how you can register to enjoy National Small Business Week from home.
