Barry’s Advice

Here are three great tips from Barry, but you shouldn’t stop here! Besides details that really make the below recommendations shine, there are two more tips in the audio!

  1. Introduce technology within your store: “Brick-and-motor stores can add technology as well. Make your store multimedia.” This is one you really have to listen to Barry explain to understand how impactful it can be. It’s a great way to increase customer engagement while they’re in your store.
  2. Retrain your staff: “One way to prevent people from going elsewhere…is to make them more knowledgable. People really want other people to help them with their purchases.” This cannot be touted enough. I know from my own experience that I’m much more likely to purchase an item in-store if an employee sells me on it.
  3. Make your website mobile: “When people pull up your [website that has not been optimized for mobile] and they really can’t use it, they go somewhere else.” In June of this year, over half the U.S. adult population had smartphones. With consumers turning to their phones first, it’s imperative you not lose them because your site isn’t functional on a phone.

Listen to the audio for the final two suggestions. It’s a quick listen with powerful suggestions.
