Yesterday, the Santa Monica 5000 run took place primarily along Ocean Boulevard in Santa Monica, CA. Among the hundreds of people who turned out for the run was a group of Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. employees (myself included) from our Malibu headquarters. The run, the proceeds of which went to the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation, tied in perfectly with our educational initiative, EdAhead®.
EdAhead is a unique education savings program. Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. employees can open 529 savings accounts, and the company will match contributions they make (up to a certain amount). Here’s the twist: An additional sum equal to the total amount matched to employees is donated to the school district the office operates within – in this case, the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation.
But that’s not all:
As part of its commitment, we’ve agreed to match dollar for dollar up to $150,000, through December 20th, all donations to the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation to support its Annual Fund drive currently taking place.
As Jeff Stibel, Chairman and CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. said, “We are excited to be making our first EdAhead donation through this major commitment, especially since a portion of it gives the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation the means to raise even more money through a matching gift initiative. It is a program that is really paying it forward.”
If you think EdAhead sounds awesome, bring it to your company!
