insight one20 logoInsight One20 was just as advertised: INSIGHTFUL!  The day began with a serious bang when Seth Godin took the mainstage and endless tweets echoed his enthusiastic tone.

Stationed front and center at our Dun & Bradstreet Credibility booth, Catherine Mangan and I were lucky enough to engage with just about every attendee circling with a smile on their face, and a new artistic kick in their step.

@HaleyVay and @CatMangan meet with Seth Godin

Our PulsoViral  display flashing the real-time #Insight120 twitter feed escalated social media to an all time high. We felt like celebrities, you felt like celebrities, everybody got their 15 minutes of fame. Speaking of 15 minutes of fame, be sure to keep an eye out for footage to come of Catherine’s interviews with neighboring exhibitors, event coordinators, and even with  Mr. Kevin Dunigan, City National Bank‘s SVP, who we were lucky enough to catch up with in the press room.

We were busy bees at the @DandB booth on the show floor, but it was hard to miss the buzz around several of the panels throughout the day. Laurence Vincent , of ‘The Brand Studio’ at United Talent Agency, offered actionable advice about the effects of branding on small business and the incredibly motivational Meridith Powell shared her approach of how to ‘sell without selling’. Transformation was truly the name of the Insight One20 game, mobilizing tangible solutions for tomorrow…today!

We were able to sneak away from the booth to catch Susan Packard’s closing words – What an inspiration!  As she shared her personal journey to COO of HGTV she emphasized the importance of being open to partnership, no matter what stage of the game you are in. Bringing things to a light close, Susan touched on the importance of humor and maintaining a happy workplace.  The perfect note to end one very successful day.

@DandB Credit Advisor, Shaughn Landauer hands out some swag

Being my very first expo as part of the D&B Credibility event team, I was blown away by the attendees’ eagerness to get involved, not only with the happenings of the event, but also with one another.  This is where the magic happens, people!

Insight for thought: Your network can grow 10x if you simply take the steps to include yourself in the conversation, even if only virtually (should some catastrophic disaster keep you from event attendance…clearly). Which event will we see you at next?
